Dr. Yang has over 25 years’ experience in cancer cell biology research, mostly gained in the USA. He moved back to China in 2016 to found the J. Michael Bishop Institute of Cancer Research and head Anticancer Bioscience. Dr. Yang spent 16 years in the laboratory of Nobel laureate Dr. J. Michael Bishop at the University of California, San Francisco, during which time he invented the esiRNA method of gene silence and also pioneered the MYC-AURKB synthetic lethal therapy. He has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Columbia University, USA.

Dr. Zhang co-founded Anticancer Bioscience after an academic background in molecular biology in the UK. She has expertise in synthetic lethal genetic screening gained during her Ph.D. study at the University of Nottingham, UK and received postdoctoral training in the field of cellular immunity and gene editing system CRISPR at the University of St Andrews, UK.

Dr. Liu is a seasoned R&D leader with extensive industrial and academic experience in oncology drug development and clinical experience in treating patients and conducting clinical research studies. Before joining Anticancer Bioscience, he served for more than a decade as VP of R&D at Eureka Therapeutics. He also served as a postdoc in the laboratory of J. Michael Bishop at the University of California, San Francisco, having started his career as a physician at the 1st Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He has a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, USA.

Dr. Shenqiu Zhang is an expert in statistical analysis. He has a track record of successful experience developing and communicating statistical models from clinical and biological datasets. Before joining Anticancer Bioscience, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Exeter Medical School and developed Alzheimer’s disease progression models. Dr. Shenqiu Zhang has a Ph.D. from Lancaster University, UK.
